This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
So I have this problem with smoothing parts of my object.
the shading of the faces is all wierd afterwards, but when I delete the faces and fill mesh/bridge/apend polygon the shading is normal again.
Is this even an error with the model or just a displaying bug?
Here some screenshots for better understanding:
-deleting the face closing the hole:
this is how it looks before smoothing the marked edges are being smoothed maybe you have some tips and trick to get better results
