Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Changing Default Color.

My default render color is a Blinn Dark grey.

Can I change this to a different color?

Well, i would just go about applying a shader, or go into the hypershade and the default lambert should be there.. maybe you can change the color of it user added image. I dont have time to try right now. But yea, either apply a new lambert or blinn to the material, or try to change the default lambert to another color.. by double clicking on it, then changing the color in the attribute editor user added image. Cya.

You can change the default and it will appear that way for each new object in your scene... It won't necessarily carry over to each new project, though.
