Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Lespaul - have you got yourself a couple of good refs and just tried to outline the shape from a basic cube with just pulling verts?

If you get a good front and side you should get a half good shape straight away mate

try ... try ... and try again ... That is the way to do it .. and when you finaly have succeeded in modelling something cool, then its time to texture.. and here it all repeats itself .. Try ... try .. and try again !!! .. wooohooo a good texture.. now its time to do cool lighting....... try..... oh man..

To get back to the tutorial part, then you should look in the learning Maya Manual .. it has some good basic tutorials on nurbs modeling ..
