trouble with bump map for head

Im currently trying to make a head. I have the modeling done and now ive been trying to do the textures. Im haveing a few problems with the texturing so far. My bigest problem is with the bump map. Im trying to creat somewhat realistic divits and pores that are seen on faces, but cant seem to create a good way to do it in photo shop. Ive tried a few different ways and so far the one that came the closest was using a noise filter, but I still get akward looks with the bump. anyone have a suggestion on how to go about making a nice bump for a face?

I attatched a render of the funky bump that i have on it now.

i haven't exactly done pores and all that good stuff on a face, but i have played with wrinkles around the eyes. I just got an image off of online, placed it in the correct positiong, desaturated it, and i got bumpy looking wrinkles around the eyes. hope that helps.

The head was maped with a spherical map
I think i got it to look alittle better. I used a film grain filter on the bump map i made. wouldnt mind getting a comment or 2 back on how everyone thinks the bump looks.
