This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

August Challenge - Witchy - Normal

I had planned to work on my first simple animation this month so I shall use this as the basis for it.

My entry will be 'Early Science' and will feature a mad scientist from the prehistoric era, his main tasks will be - reinventing the wheel, finding a creative use for fire that does not involve lightly toasting his wife, making interestingly shaped things from dinosaur bones, as well as attempting to cure disease and find 27 ways to creatively use the word 'ugh' in conversation.

Indeed I'll get round to it, but if I don't have someone to wander through it it doesn't feel the same user added image And I am trying to play with animation this month so this provides a handy focus for building a 'set'.

Hah, awesome desk man user added image. What you have to do is cut out the middle dark wood on each end a bit and then wrap vines or something around the wood slab on the top, it will make it look like its more of a caveman table. The basic idea is great but i think you could bevel that a bit or something. The legs though are really nicely done. Keep it up!

"I should call you sugar maple tree cause i'd totally tap that" haha

Excellent idea M I shall do that to it shortly. Vines are a cool idea for tying things together, I was just considering how to make my bamboo test tubes stick together and now I know. Cool!

Quick shot of cave in progress.

Some prehistoric lab props; early test tubes, dino extractor etc.

I still need to do the vines holding it all together so excuse the floating bits user added image
