Is there an alternative to maya render

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is an alternative to using render.exe. The reason I ask is that I've done a scene using partials and it either fails to render correctly or crashes out after a 100 frames or so. If I re-render the frames that failed they work but it takes forever as it never seems to cache anything even thought it's been setup to do so.

I've read that it's not just me that's having the problem and no one seems to have an answer apart from don't use maya at all.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Cheers
Andy
