This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
no, not really, in this case it was just temporary. (there was a reason for the December challenge) But i just did it to see if the details or difference in Geometry would come out any better, its not my final choice of colors or ne thing. THanks! Hope to be posting an update on the guy in a bit.
Brian
THis will probably be the last update to day.
Thanks!!
Brian
BTW there are about 650,xxx faces so far!!!
I have everything sepetated between 12 layers, so that its easy to work with even with the high poly count.
very nice work mate, the only bit i dont like is the launcher bits at the bottom , maybe sometimes you can have just to much detail where a nice smooth would have looked appropriate.
Had a suggestion about your chair compartment. I was thinking maybe you could have it in a way so that there is no chair, but instead make it an area for the guy to stand in it and control the machine.
Just a thought.
Also, you have to rig this guy and show a short clip of him in action.
I agree with the standing thing. In my head, the guy stands inside, and when he lifts his leg, (somehow connected to the machine) computers would tell the mech to move its leg. Get it? Im loving it!
The bosters need to be the came color. And mabey smooth instead of rigged.
