Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

if you turn it sideways it is probably the same size as a window, im not sure but are the push out windows in real life the same size as a door?

Maybe the big trim around the door makes the door look small. Purhaps if the trim was half its current width it might look better. The door handle looks good.
Hey.. Just thought of this. How about a stone fire place on the opposite wall of the front door.

looking good!
i agree that the frame around the door should be a bit smaller...and you could make the bottom of the frame even smaller and make the door larger...that way people dont trip on their way in and out user added image

I have pushout windows at my house and if its a Double window, The windows width is alot bigger then the door, but i agree anyway.

About the frame around the door.. do you guys mean the blue frame or the White frame? if you mean the blue frame i have to change all of it. that frame is as big as the windows.

and hey! remember, The house will be put down in the grass later and it will have a "stear" or what its called up to the door. Dont worry, no-one will fell on the doorstep user added image

about that fireplace, Thats an very good idea! will i do it in bricks or just big stones?

thanks guys for the comments!

I think it is the blue trim that is to wide. As far as bricks vs stone goes. I think for the most part an old log cabin is built out of the resources that are most available in the area. Witch is why it is made out of logs from cut down trees in the forest it is built in. So with that in mind I would go with stone. I would bet there is a lot of that laying around. Bricks would have to be made. And would take more time to construct.
(Must get the cabin built before the snow flies, or we all will freeze. ) user added image
