I would actually say you could go higher if you wanted. Unless this look is the style you're going for (it's a neat style!). I'd consider, for a character these days, low poly to be 8000 or less

Thanks.
I'm probably gonna add more detail to his hands then and some more edges to make the armour look sharper in places.

Iv'e rounded out the model a bit and added a few more edges to it. There are some wrinkles in the clothing now (hard to see) and the belt is alot thicker. still only at 2870 faces.

Ilike it but the one area I don`t like ( it was the same on your transformer) is your hands. They look out of scale with everything else. They are very small.

Thats one hell of a low poly count there well done. Love the tash.

Hey, i think you have the transformer model confused with me cause i made the alien for the last challenge...

I'll make the hands bigger and see what they look like though.

Looking good man user added image I'd suggest beefing up the polycount a little at least though, his miner suit just looks a little too sharp for me at the moment. Very cool head, lots of character, the moustache makes the model user added image

I was thinking about changing some of the suit but I've been really busy lately.

Looking really good someguy.

Love the way how you've kept it low poly, that way you can add the iceing to the cake later on.

This is basically finished. I'll make a texturing WIP later on.
I am rigging it now and i need some help. The tube on the drill that connects to the pack needs to be dynamic so it sways around and moves with the drill without any keyframing.
I have made a curve and converted it to Hair but is there anyway to make the movment of the curve influence the polygon model?
Or is there any other way to do it?

Heres the part i want to rigg.

::EDIT:: Nevermind i worked it out. All i did was convert it to cloth and attach the ends to the other models.

Here is a shot of him posed. I would have liked to have the tube more round and inflated but i guess this is fine for the moment until i work it out better.
