This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Looking wicked Witchy! All i would say is that the vines look a little too green, myabe tone them down a little. And the area where the caveman's arm meets his body needs a little bit of work and detail but his head is awesome! user added image

Thanks guys, coming along. Bit of an update, thought the corner of the cave needed a pet on a perch. Perch is currently temporary.

Nice wings, I like the concept for them, did you make a drawing? <snigger>

LoL, I was just having a <snigger>, I meant nothing by it. But I must say I was very impressed with my 1337 MSpaint skillz. :p

Oh, he's quite...erm...CUTE <snigger>. Will you be adding a scaly-ish bump map to him to give his tummy some depth? Oooh, how about some transparency on the inner wing bits so they look thin and stretched across the bones?

I like him tho. Looks like a pet I might have (along with Howard's toad, but I don't think the two together would get along). user added image

No scales as he'll clash with other dino who is plain, but I am thinking of a different colour for stomach area, bit like a budgie. Wing's are meant to be a bit transparent, I'll increase that as, you're right, you cannot see the effect at all!

I am the 1337er of cute (commits suicide).

I think the wings might be better off as translucent, rather than transparent. You could paint little veins in the translucent map, it would look awesome!

Interesting idea - how do you do that with a normal shader or is it with something else?

Ah ok tried that, painted a map with some veins on and mapped it onto the translucence thing (learn a new thing every day never tried that).

The translucence is nice (nicer than transparency) but the veins don't match the cartoon look very well - they make everything else look a bit underdone when overall I am going for blocky plain shaders on the characters and then textures on their surroundings.

Will just go with the translucence instead though as that looks rather nice - thanks!
