This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Thanks Guys ...Matt yeah I was thinking of lightening the wood a little, it's nowhere near finished yet anyhow, I still have bump and spec to add as well as a little aging.
Still toying really and these were just the start out textures
Very nice clean model. Would love to see a basic background too if you have time. I think it would put it in context and add to the realism. A simple textured wall would probably be sufficient. Kepp it up.
Thanks Dilbert, I am planning on a small scene for it in and modeling is under way although I have to finish the Jukebox first incase I don't have time to complete a satisfactory background .
I'm in the middle of a house move and time spent modeling is not at a premium so hopefully I can do all that I want to get a finished entry.
Thankyou for the nice comments..i't means a lot to my confidence as I haven't been doing Maya that long (about a year) ,had to have some time away because i have vision problems.
Anyway I have been tweeking the textures a little and lightened the wood so heres an update.
Man, that is awsome looking. I use to have a 1950's juke box at home that looked pretty much the same as your model design wise. I wish I still had it.
I'm working on a few details at the moment, just finished the Wurlitzer sign.
Still creatins bump and spec maps and I have to texture the new backdrop in the turntable section...it's all go innit
