Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

awesome job man!
For the environment, maybe make one of those wooden borders that you see in bars...that go about a meter and half off the ground....a dark wood mabe to make the jukebox stand out even more...and maybe even some 50's black and white picture frames on the wall.
Just a suggestion.

Awsome work. One of the best in here. You're much better off putting your final version of the jukebox in a real image using some compositioning software or something. Only reason why is just the realism thing. Kind of hard to make the jukebox look real in a 3d environment.

yeah, the lighting in that last one doesnt match with the background - and I can see some tessellation in it too - not sure if it's on the lights or the board behind it. I'd check the scale a bit too, but it's looking good, man. The object is very well done.

At first I thought everything looked real till you dropped the ball and said it was a composite. Now I can see the lighting differences. It's still a top notch render! user added image

I think the scene is a bit too dull for the model, maybe a similar shot with a lot more light would look better with the shiny parts of the jukebox

fantastic jukebox though user added image

your model is good , but what i think you should do know is taking care of the high satruation you've in ur lights. just look at real light they are self-illuminated not highley satruated.i guess you are using maya textures to do the colours of the lights(maya textures are highley satruated) ,if so try to map them to the satruation node (i forgot the name you will find it in utlitly section of maya hypersahade section) and reduce its satruation. or use fransacaluce shader that makes any object a light. (haven't tryed it ever)

good luck.

cool user added image thats a better scene than the other. The only thing that immediately pops out is that the brick detail is a bit blurred compared to the sharpness of the jukebox.
The jukebox itself is looking cool user added image

You see, what I have done is laid the the UV map of the cylinder out flat and just put it over the picture of rope. I guess if I do that right that would be ok for rope that wraps around a mast or something like that where you won't see all the sides but not for the rigging.

Yeah, he just chimed in yesterday, and posted alot of jibberish. I don't know if it's a joke, or if he is lost, or just really bad at english. He even posted in the rules and guidlines forum. I don't know what to think of him.
