Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Nurbs Texturing

I´m currently learning about nurbs texturing. And in contrast to texturing polys it seems to be an absolutely irrational thing attempting to lay out the picture for fitting the nurb´s CVs #%!

With my model consisting of about 800 - 1000 patches I ought to 3dTool-paint most of the patches for converting them to usefull filetextures. that does not make any sense. I would spend a whole lifetime for texturing those damn nurbs.

I too thought about converting all nurbs patches into polys for easy uvmapping (which is too crap cause I have so many freeform fillets). is there no faster way to map so many patches, or am I just too stupid to unstand nurbs?

!confused!
