Im experimenting with rigid body dynamics and in my scene i have a few objects on a shelf, such as a ball and couple of cylinders for paint tins.
I also have an arm that swings around and knocks them of. Trouble is, the arm obviously has a couple of joints rigged to it and it wont knock over the objects?
ANy ideas?
those who succeed are only the failures that never gave up.
Set a passive key for the arm at frame 0 (say) then move the arm to intersect the object you want to hit, set another passive key. then go one frame more than set an active key, thats about the basics of it.
Thanks gster but i did that and i dont know what to key frame, the joint or the geometry.
I detached the geometry (my arm) to ensure it has a passive rigid body connected, then i re-attached.
I then set a passive key at frame 1 and 48 making the arm move. But it doesnt even move.
Its so much easier without joints and skeletons involved but i dont know how to do it with skeletons.
Im creating a short where one of my characters is clumsy and knocks eveything over, thats why i need to learn how to combine keyframing joints with rigid body dynamics.
THANX, KEEP IT COMING!
