yeah, I think this is a very near value, if you are fast enough and skilled, and have full time for that project,then the periods you suggested are a good approximation :)

there is a solution but with some efforts from you:

You can choose the vertices you want to become on flat plane.

and use this script to flatten or co-plan your choosen vertices....

ohh, UVing in maya made me lots of pain in the ass honestly :mstickle:
